Telekom Malaysia has appointed Nor Fadhilah Mohd Ali, currently the financial controller, group finance as its group chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from May 1.

She has the distinct honour of being TM’s first woman group CFO.
TM said on Monday Fadhilah’s appointment takes effect on May 15, 2017.

TM said Fadhilah has been the financial controller since Aug 16, 2015, a role she took over after leaving the general manager, financial advisory and business development in group strategy role at TM since April 1, 2008.

On the Telekom Malaysia website, it is stated that she started her career with TM as an assistant accountant on Aug 2, 1993.

Throughout her career, Fadhilah has gained considerable experience as a strategic finance controller with a track-record in establishing cross-functional partnership and collaboration in delivering results to TM.

Fadhilah holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from the International Islamic University Malaysia and is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK (ICSA).

Before joining TM, she was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

Her appointment is also part of the TM’s ‘Era of Convergence’.

The company, in a tweet, said: “Where we can have #LifeMadeEasier & #BusinessMadeEasier for a better Malaysia. #NegaraKu,” which is supposed to boost the company’s image.
