The director of a tutor network, Mr Ahmad Salik, has publicly blacklisted a female tutor named Zuliana as she went missing in action after collecting hundreds of dollars in advance.

Taking to Facebook, Mr Ahmad – who runs tutor network, Study Rangers – wrote:

“It pains me to do this but I have to warn parents about this tutor whom I used to recommend. She claims to be an MOE teacher and I would usually recommend her especially to parents who are looking for female tutors. Initially, I received some good feedback but lately I have been receiving a lot of complaints about her tendency to collect fees in advance and then go missing. I am unable to contact her and I have removed her from our tutors’ network. We do not condone such irresponsible behaviour from any of our tutors. If anyone of you are still in contact with her, pls ask her to call me. Thanks!”

Mr Ahmad shared screenshots of text conversations he has had with concerned individuals who claimed to have paid Zuliana hundreds of dollars in advance and those who have pre-paid for lessons who have said that the tutor blocked them on all platforms they can contact her on.

More victims responded in the comments section of Mr Ahmad’s post and reported that Zuliana has fleeced them of money too. Some parents who have been cheated by the tutor have reportedly planned to lodge a police complaint against her.

Mr Ahmad has appealed for anyone who is still in touch with Zuliana to get her to contact him.
